Size My SystemIs a 2kW solar system worth it?
A 2kW solar panel system has 5 panels, costs £3,000-£4,500 installed (0% VAT), and generates 1,900-2,100 kWh/year. It covers 50-85% of a 1-bed flat's consumption. Annual savings: £280-£380. Payback: 9-12 years. This is the smallest commonly installed residential system — viable on very small roofs but most homeowners should install 3kW+ for better value per pound.
