Can housing association tenants get solar?

Housing associations are among the biggest adopters of solar in the UK: FUNDING: Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF Wave 2: £778M), ECO4 scheme, HAs' own capital programmes. SCALE: some HAs installing solar on 5,000-10,000+ properties. TENANT BENEFIT: free daytime electricity, lower bills, warmer homes, improved EPC. NO COST TO TENANTS: the HA funds installation. Tenants pay nothing. WHAT TO DO: contact your housing association's sustainability or energy team. Ask about their solar/energy efficiency programme. Many have 3-5 year rollout plans with waiting lists.
