Solar Panels and Shade Sails

Do shade sails affect solar panels?

Garden shade sails do NOT affect roof-mounted solar panels. Your panels sit on the roof (5-10m above ground level). Shade sails are at 2-3m height. There is zero shading conflict. Ground-mounted solar: position panels away from shade sails (and vice versa). A shade sail 5+ metres from ground-mounted panels causes no shading at typical UK sun angles. The only scenario where shade sails matter: a very tall shade sail structure (4m+) positioned directly south of ground-mounted panels. This is rare and easily avoided with proper positioning.
