How do I inspect my solar panels?

Annual solar panel inspection checklist (do from the ground, do NOT climb on the roof): (1) Visual check for cracks, discolouration, or debris on panels. (2) Check monitoring app — compare output to same month last year. (3) Check inverter display for error codes. (4) Look for bird nesting material at panel edges. (5) Check gutters near panels for blockages. (6) Check mounting brackets for visible rust or movement. (7) Review electricity bill — are savings consistent? This takes 15 minutes and catches issues before they cost you money.
