Solar panel prices have STABILISED since 2023 after dropping 90% between 2010 and 2023. Future drops: 1-3% per year at most (manufacturing costs near floor). THE MATHS OF WAITING: If prices drop 5% in 2 years: save £300-£400 on installation. But miss 2 years of savings: lose £1,160-£2,200. NET RESULT: waiting costs £760-£1,800 MORE than installing now. Plus: 0% VAT may end March 2027 — if it reverts to 5-20%, prices INCREASE by £275-£1,600. There is NO financial case for waiting.
