What does daily solar output look like?

Solar panels follow a daily bell curve: zero output at dawn, gradual ramp up through the morning, peak output around midday (10am-2pm), gradual decline through the afternoon, and zero at sunset. A 4kW system on a clear June day: peaks at ~3.6kW around noon, total daily output 22-25 kWh. On an overcast day: peaks at ~1-2kW, total 5-10 kWh.
